Community organizations providing support to our most vulnerable neighbors are facing an unprecedented strain on their resources with COVID-19.  The PHL COVID-19 Fund will rapidly and equitably deploy solutions and resources to help our nonprofit community navigate near-and longer-term challenges from COVID-19 and ensure that critical resources remain available for those in our community who need it most.

"Funding is imperative for our clinical staff"

“This pandemic is particularly devastating to the vibrant Latinx immigrant population we serve as they face additional challenges in accessing critical resources. Funding will be imperative for our clinical staff conducting telemedicine and crucial home visits, and for an emergency, food relief efforts as the majority of families we surveyed were assessed at a high food insecurity rating, and over half of families have lost all sources of income.”

ABOUT THE PHL COVID-19 FUND:

The PHL COVID-19 Fund provides grants to nonprofits throughout the Greater Philadelphia region that have a demonstrated track record of serving those most at-risk during this crisis, such as seniors, people with disabilities, and those who are experiencing homeless or who are economically disadvantaged. Grants will be used to continue community safety nets including food pantries and health services; help with preparedness and protection needs such as hygiene supplies; and ensure access to accurate, up-to-date information and available services.

The Fund brings together a diverse coalition of philanthropy, government and business partners, all joined together as one unified regional community to create a regional rapid response fund to support nonprofits at the frontline of COVID response. The Fund complements the work of regional public health officials and expands local capacity to address the outbreak as efficiently as possible.
